Training & Events
We help you stay relevant and effective.
Monthly Morning Meeting
Monthly Morning Meetings (MMM) are held on the first Tuesday of every month. Our Research Team provides an investment update while Fund Houses present on their in-house market outlook and their funds.
On a quarterly basis, the MMM will also include an update by our Research Desk on the Essential Series Portfolio, a series of five portfolios created and maintained by our Research Desk.
CPD hours are awarded for attending the MMM.
Orientation Training
The iFAST Orientation Training program is a session designed to introduce new advisers to the iFAST platform.
The orientation program will provide advisers with basic operations knowledge, which will allow advisers to confidently close and place their first few transactions on the iFAST platform.
Fund Talks
Advisers can feel confident of recommending a particular fund to their clients only when they fully understand and feel comfortable with the management philosophy of that fund.
Our position as the leading platform gives advisers direct access to the fund houses. This means that we are able to organize fund presentations and training by the fund managers when they come to Singapore.
Investment Planning Course
Investment advisory is as much a science as an art. To be able to provide truly quality advice, advisers have to understand economic cycles, markets fundamentals, asset allocation and then be able to identify products that fit the client's needs.
The Investment Planning Course (IPC) is thus structured to achieve two objectives:
- Provide advisers with a practical grounding in the process of Investment Planning by introducing investment concepts such as Dollar Cost Averaging, Rebalancing and Asset Allocation, and
- Build the conviction that Investment Planning is necessary for meeting longer-term objectives.
CPD hours are awarded for attending the Investment Planning Course.
iFAST Global Wealth Advisers Symposium
The iFAST Global Wealth Advisers Symposium (IGWAS) is organised as a platform where established and experienced wealth advisers from various jurisdictions share ideas and best practices to improve their solutions that can ultimately benefit clients in the long term.
The first IGWAS held in 2011 in Switzerland provided an opportunity to understand how the country has developed itself into one of the world's top wealth management centres. IGWAS 2012 was held in the US and it gave wealth advisers the opportunity to hear first-hand how the independent Registered Investment Advisers in the US have been growing their presence in the high net worth market ahead of the traditional players such as the investment banks and private banks. Greece is the destination for the third IGWAS 2014.
