Legal Counsel

Responsibilities


    • Provide advisory to various business units and functions, such as in areas relating to contracts, intellectual property rights, trust law, employment law, SGX listing rules, etc.
    • Draft, review and/or negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, particularly in the area of banking and financial services
    • Manage any litigation or contentious matters that may arise from time to time
    • Monitor and advise stakeholders on possible legal risk and provide mitigation strategies
    • Instruct and manage the work of external legal counsel as needed
    • Work closely with other in-house counsels within the Group based overseas on matters of common / related interest
    • Covers mainly Singapore, Hong Kong and United Kingdom businesses

Requirements:


    • Bachelor of Laws (Second Upper / First Class)
    • A practicing lawyer (called to Singapore Bar) with 3 to 5 years of experience
    • Banking & finance and M&A experience will be an added advantage
    • Keen interest in banking and financial products and services

    • Proficient in Chinese language, as the group has business activities in Mainland China as well

Investment Consultant

Responsibilities


    • To work closely with wealth advisers on the management of client portfolios
    • To formulate investment recommendations which are aligned with client investment objectives as well as the research house-view
    • To originate and communicate profitable investment ideas and market updates to various stakeholders

Research Analyst, Global Fixed Income

Responsibilities


    • Provide research and analysis for the coverage of Asian credit markets
    • Contribute investment views and research in collaboration with the regional offices
    • Generate original, timely and actionable investment ideas pertaining to the fixed income asset class
    • Communicate these investment views, ideas and research via research reports, presentations and other channels
    • Help our clients make informed decision when they invest in bonds, specifically by achieving and maintaining a coverage list of 20-30 bond issuers, and providing periodic research recommendation for bonds in the coverage list and new bond issues
