Equity Analyst

Responsibilities


    • The Equity Analyst will primarily be responsible for generating stock and ETF investment ideas in his/her assigned area of market coverage (SGX, HKEX and/or other exchanges), and communicating these ideas to the investing public predominantly through original research articles and presentations.

    • Conduct fundamental research on stocks listed in assigned area of market coverage (SGX, HKEX and/or other exchanges) using publicly available information sources, including financial statements, company annual reports, published research and online databases.
    • Generate high-conviction stock investment ideas, and work with other members of the research team to identify actionable ETF ideas across various geographical markets and/or sectors.
    • Communicate these ideas to the investing public through various channels, including original research articles and seminar presentations.
    • Participate in discussions to construct our internal focus lists, which aims to showcase some of our best stock investment ideas, and communicate the decisions to both the investing public, as well as internal stakeholders.

Requirements:


    • Strong analytical skills, with a deep understanding of financial statements and equity valuation methodologies. Able to distil large amounts of information into an investable thesis.
    • Excellent command of both spoken and written English, with a great story-telling ability.
    • Demonstrated interest in and passion for investing.
    • Able to multi-task and meet constant deadlines.
    • Bachelor degree holder in a related discipline (accountancy, finance or business administration).
    • As this is an entry-level position, prior experience is not required. Candidates without working experience or less than 2 years of working experience are welcomed to apply.

Advisers on iGM share a common goal – to provide transparent, ethical and suitable advice to benefit their clients. With us, you will be empowered with FinTech to provide personalised wealth management solutions and develop a personal wealth management hub.




      We are looking for someone:
    • To provide personalised wealth management solutions to clients and help them grow their assets
    • To recommend a range of wealth management products (unit trusts, ETFs, direct bonds, stocks, insurance) to fulfil clients’ needs
    • To actively source for new clients on your own initiative
    • To service clients acquired by the company’s lead generation capabilities
    • Keep abreast of customer needs and investment market trends
    • Deliver effective and efficient support to clients, within and beyond office hours

Requirements:


    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Client-oriented, pleasant, meticulous and obliging disposition
    • Strong interest in investment products. Candidates with the relevant experience will have an added advantage.
    • Holds either one of the following qualifications:
    • A full certificate in GCE ‘A’ Level;
    • An International Baccalaureate Diploma qualification;
    • A diploma awarded by a polytechnic in Singapore; or
    • Any other academic qualification equivalent to the qualifications above
    • Certificates or exemptions from the following CMFAS/IBF modules will be advantageous: M1A, M5, M6, M6A, M8, M8A, M9, M9A
    • Candidates without working experience are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities


    • Conduct presentations and training
    • Actively source for new business and promote company’s products and services
    • Devise sales and marketing strategies
    • Service and support existing clientele
    • Identify new business opportunities and implement new strategies to grow the business
    • Research, gather feedback and involve in the process of improving services and products

Requirements:


    • Degree in any discipline, with marketing or mass communications will be an advantage
    • Good communication skills, verbally and in writing
    • Driven and hungry for growth
    • Great follow up and organizational skills
    • Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong presentation skills
    • Self-motivated, proactive and have a sense of responsibility
    • Strong interest in investment will be an advantage

    • Candidates with relevant experience could be considered for a Manager role
